Talentra - AI Resume Checker Built with MERN & Gemini AI

Talentra is a full-stack AI resume checker that helps job seekers create stronger, ATS-friendly resumes using Google Gemini AI. Users can upload a resume as a PDF and instantly receive an ATS-readiness score with a detailed analysis of keywords, formatting, clarity, and overall impact.

The application goes beyond scoring by identifying the resume's biggest strengths and the most important areas for improvement. It also rewrites weak resume bullet points into stronger, achievement-focused statements, explains why each suggestion is better, and recommends missing keywords to improve ATS compatibility.

To help users track their progress, every upload or AI-generated update is saved as a new version. Users can browse their complete version history, compare any two versions side by side with detailed differences, and see how their resume improves over time. The dashboard provides score trends, resume statistics, keyword insights, recurring issues, and recent activity in a clean and easy-to-understand interface.

Built with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js), Talentra uses JWT authentication with httpOnly cookies, bcrypt password hashing, PDF text extraction, Google Gemini AI for structured resume analysis, Zod validation, rate limiting, and secure file uploads. The interface is fully responsive, built with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, and supports both light and dark modes.

This project demonstrates my ability to build production-ready full-stack applications that combine modern AI capabilities with secure backend architecture, thoughtful user experience, and scalable application design.
